Hi, I’m kelly.
I have been working as a registered nurse in labor and delivery since 2004. I’m also a DONA, trained Doula, have over 20 years working in women’s health, and in 2022 started teaching Family Life Education at private Christian schools. I feel called to women’s health and family life education. My own health journey has given me a passion for gut health. I believe all these topics are interconnected. I love working with women, kids, and families to support, educate, and empower them to be their own best advocate in life.

The small group class is geared towards kids, learning how their body was intricately designed and how it matures to make procreation possible. Topics discussed will be taught from a biblical and biological standpoint, and based on age and request of parents or school.
The course is tailored to the specific age group of the children at the request of the parents or school. As a highly trained professional, I use age-appropriate language and teaching methods to ensure the children understand the course content fully.
through this course…
children will learn the importance of making healthy decisions regarding their bodies and their reproductive health. They will also develop a better understanding of the changes that happen during puberty and how to take care of themselves during this time.

Gut Health 101
This series of classes covers the gut brain connection, the impact/benefits of lifestyle choices, how to use food as your medicine, essential vitamins and nutrients, and ways to decrease your toxic load. Concepts of gut health are incorporated into all class offerings.
Gut health refers to the health of the gastrointestinal tract, which includes the stomach, intestines, and liver, and other organs involved in digestion and detoxification. A healthy gut is vital for overall well-being, as it is responsible for absorbing nutrients, eliminating waste, and supporting the immune system.
-
The gut is home to trillions of microbes, including bacteria, viruses, and fungi, collectively known as the gut microbiome. These microbes play an essential role in gut health, as they help to break down food, produce essential nutrients, and protect against harmful pathogens.
However, factors such as poor diet, stress, antibiotics, and other medications, as well as environmental factors can disrupt the delicate balance of the gut microbiome, leading to a range of digestive issues and health problems.
I am dedicated to educating people about the importance of gut health, particularly during the reproductive years and pregnancy. The upcoming course will provide comprehensive information on how to optimize gut health for a healthy life, pregnancy and beyond. Stay tuned for more updates!
